St. Petersburg, Florida - The countdown is on to the royal wedding, and for most people, it's the second major royal wedding in their lifetime.
The first was in 1981, when Diana Spencer married Prince Charles to become Diana Princess of Wales.
And apparently, 30 years has done little to distance the late princess from her son's upcoming wedding to Kate Middleton.
And the comparisons started as soon as Prince William proposed. He gave Kate the same stunning sapphire engagement ring that his father gave Diana.
The diamond-studded 18-carat sapphire ring is worth $500,000.
"I don't know how I think about [Kate] wearing [Diana's ring]," said Julie Edwards of St. Petersburg. "You know, it was Diana's. I'm not sure anybody should wear it again."
When it comes to dresses, chances are Kate will pick a gown far removed from Diana's poufy silk taffeta wedding dress. It was encrusted with several types of jewels, including 10,000 pearls.
"It was a beautiful dress, but it overpowered her," said Edwards. "I'm sure Kate's will be more form-fitting, and it will be a smaller dress."
Kate has reportedly picked three gowns, just to make sure her groom doesn't get wind of the design before the big day.
After Kate and William say their 'I do's,' they'll leave Westminster Abbey in a 109-year-old horse-drawn carriage.
But, if it rains, they'll use the same glass coach Diana did.
In 1981, 750 million people watched Diana's wedding.
This year's royal wedding will likely fetch three times the viewership, as the world tunes in to watch Kate go from commoner to princess.
Charles and Diana stayed in Broadlands, England for the start of their honeymoon. After that, they took an extensive cruise to the Greek Islands, Egypt and more.
It's not known where Kate and William will spend their honeymoon, although Jordan and Australia are reportedly being considered.
